Editorial Guidelines
To maintain the integrity of Network.Vegas and ensure every published piece provides value to our audience, all submissions must adhere to the following standards. We are not a repository for spam; we are a curator of local excellence.
1. The “Vegas First” Rule
Content must have a tangible connection to the Las Vegas valley.
- Acceptable: A Vegas-based startup raising capital; a national company opening a Henderson HQ; a local executive winning an industry award; a community event in Summerlin.
- Unacceptable: Generic “5 Tips for SEO” articles with no local angle; press releases for remote companies with no footprint in Nevada; crypto-currency pump schemes.
2. Newsworthiness Over Noise
We publish news, not sales sheets. Your content must announce something specific.
- Yes: “ABC Corp Launches AI-Driven Logistics Platform in North Las Vegas.”
- No: “ABC Corp offers great logistics services at low prices! Call us today!”
3. Tone & Style
- Professional Voice: Write in the third person (e.g., “The company announced,” not “We are announcing”).
- Objective: Avoid hyperbolic adjectives like “earth-shattering,” “best-in-class,” or “miraculous” unless quoting someone directly.
- Clarity: Use plain English. If you are a tech company, explain your innovation so a general business audience can understand the impact.
4. Formatting Requirements
- Headline: Clear, engaging, and under 100 characters. Must include the subject of the news.
- Length: 400 – 800 words.
- Media: You must include at least one high-resolution landscape image (1200×628 minimum). No copyrighted images without proof of license.
- Links: Maximum of 1 outbound link (dofollow). The link must be relevant to the content and not lead to spam or gambling sites.
5. The “No-Go” List
We strictly reject content related to:
- Adult entertainment or illegal substances.
- Get-rich-quick schemes or multi-level marketing (MLM) recruitment.
- Political attack ads or defamatory content.
- Content generated entirely by AI without human editing or fact-checking.
Note: Network.Vegas retains full editorial control. We reserve the right to edit headlines for clarity or reject submissions that do not meet our quality standards.
