Meet Our Moderator:

Karen Alonso serves as Chief Advancement & Communications Officer at United Way of Southern Nevada. She is an accomplished non-profit leader with a strong passion for mission-driven work. Karen brings extensive expertise in developing and implementing innovative strategies that drive brand growth and generate meaningful impact.
Throughout her career, Karen has demonstrated a deep understanding of the nonprofit sector and has a keen ability to leverage marketing and fundraising techniques. She has a proven track record of developing and executing successful campaigns, elevating brand visibility, and cultivating meaningful connections with diverse audiences. Her efforts have resulted in increased donor engagement, enhanced community partnerships, and sustained fundraising growth. Her innovative approach to fundraising has consistently delivered results, enabling organizations to exceed their revenue goals and expand their mission and impact.
Karen’s strategic vision and leadership enable UWSN to effectively communicate its mission, engage stakeholders, and inspire action. By integrating marketing and fundraising efforts, she ensures a cohesive approach to advancing UWSN’s objectives.
Meet the Panelist:

Kristen Banks is an industry veteran who has spent years marketing sports and entertainment businesses. As the head of Marketing for the Las Vegas Raiders, Banks is tasked with developing the brand strategy and marketing objectives for audience growth and fan development. Banks’s team is responsible for Creative, Photography, Marketing Communications, Marketing Technology, and Stadium Tours. Her group serves as the internal ad agency for Raiders and working closely with Raiders’ brand partners to generate promotional opportunities in Las Vegas, and abroad.
Before joining the Raiders Organization, Banks was the Vice President of Marketing and Digital Products at the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) since 2015. In her role with the UFC, Banks was responsible for the growth, and marketing of UFC Pay-Per-View, broadcast programming, and UFC FIGHT PASS, UFC’s digital streaming network to fans in over 152 countries. Moving from Florida, she supported Consumer Brand Marketing and Global Promotions at NBCUniversal/Comcast. Here Banks worked on several high-profile releases including The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Jurassic World, and Rise of Minions, along with several on-location productions of Jimmy Fallon and The Tonight Show, Access Hollywood, and Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway on BT in the UK. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication and Media Studies from Florida Southern College and a Master of Arts in Organizational Communication with a concentration in Marketing Analytics from the University of Denver.

Richelle Rice is an Emmy award-winning storyteller with extensive experience in digital marketing, public relations, and
broadcast journalism. She most recently served as Vice President of Social and Digital Marketing for the Las Vegas Super Bowl LVIII Host Committee, where she led the digital strategy behind the city’s first-ever Super Bowl, driving global engagement and community impact.
Richelle has shaped campaigns for major sports teams, hospitality brands, and entertainment icons, including the Vegas Golden Knights, PGA Tour, South Point Hotel and Casino, Four Seasons Las Vegas, and Hard Rock Hotels. She started her career as a crime producer for NBC News before joining the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department to launch its social media presence—discovering her passion for digital storytelling and public-facing communications.

Dana spent 11 years with the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA), where she played a key role in advancing their marketing initiatives, building the NHRA’s social media presence, and elevating national event promotions for one of the premier motorsports organizations in the world.
She then spent seven years with TGR Foundation, the charitable organization founded by Tiger Woods. During her tenure, Dana helped lead marketing and communications efforts surrounding two of golf’s most prestigious events — the Genesis Invitational and the Hero World Challenge — blending purpose-driven storytelling with world-class event execution to elevate both brand impact and fundraising outcomes.
Currently, Dana serves as Vice President of Marketing and Communications for the Las Vegas Desert Dogs of the National Lacrosse League where she has spent the past three seasons building the franchise’s brand presence in Las Vegas. Her leadership has helped position the Desert Dogs as an exciting, community-driven professional sports property while driving fan engagement, ticket sales, and corporate partnerships.
