Caridad Gardens Hosts Free Trauma Recovery Yoga

Caridad Gardens, a jobs program using gardening to reintegrate formerly homeless veterans into the workforce, is hosting a free Trauma Recovery Yoga (T.R.Y.) session on Wednesday, November 17 from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Fergusons Downtown, located at 1028 East Fremont Street, Las Vegas, NV 89101. Participants are asked to bring their yoga mat and water. While the event is free, donations to Caridad Gardens are appreciated.
Delivered in a yoga flow, T.R.Y. techniques help rebalance the parasympathetic and sympathetic nervous systems to bring about an overall feeling of wellbeing for those suffering from insomnia, anxiety, panic attacks, suicidal thoughts, flashbacks and other effects of trauma held in the body. T.R.Y. was created to find relief for Joyce Bosen’s fight or flight response following the death of her son, Jacob, who lost his life while serving in the Navy on November 17, 2012.
