SUMMARY:CPCU Society In2Risk Conference 2026
DESCRIPTION:In2Risk 2026 is scheduled for October 19–21 at Resorts World Las Vegas. The Institutes CPCU Society presents the event as its annual meeting for risk-management and insurance professionals and as the setting for the CPCU conferment ceremony and celebration. The audience includes underwriters\, claims professionals\, risk managers\, brokers\, regulators\, compliance staff\, catastrophe and climate specialists\, technology professionals\, enterprise-risk leaders\, students\, new CPCU designees\, and experienced practitioners from insurance organizations and related fields. \nThe 2026 agenda is built around peer-led education selected by professionals working in the industry. Published subject areas include artificial intelligence and insurance technology\, cyber risk\, climate and catastrophe exposure\, legal trends and loss severity\, regulation and compliance\, claims\, underwriting\, innovation\, ethics\, workforce development\, and enterprise-risk strategy. The conference also provides chapter and professional-network activity\, recognition of new designees\, and structured opportunities for practitioners to compare approaches across companies and specialties. The conferment component is important because it connects the educational program with the CPCU designation and the society’s professional community. \nA student engagement program extends the event to college and university juniors and seniors considering insurance and risk-management careers. Participating students receive access to education\, mentoring\, and contact with practitioners across different disciplines and career stages. This gives In2Risk a workforce-development role in addition to continuing professional education. The broader conference remains oriented toward working professionals; it is not a consumer insurance show and does not center on the sale of personal policies to the public. By placing students\, new designees\, volunteer leaders\, and experienced practitioners in the same meeting\, the society uses the event for both technical education and continuity of the profession. \nEvent background\nIn2Risk is the CPCU Society’s annual industry gathering and includes the organization’s annual meeting and CPCU conferment. The society describes itself as a global community for risk-management and insurance professionals\, including both CPCU designation holders and other members of the field. Public materials for 2026 establish the Las Vegas dates and program but do not provide a complete history of prior Las Vegas editions. The event should therefore be presented as the documented 2026 Las Vegas meeting without claiming a regular local rotation. Its continuity comes from the annual In2Risk\, society\, and conferment functions rather than from a verified sequence at one city or venue. Chapter volunteers also use the meeting to maintain relationships across the society’s geographic and subject-focused groups. \nLocation\nResorts World Las Vegas is on the north end of the Strip and contains an integrated conference complex. The resort reports about 250\,000 square feet of meeting space\, more than 50 meeting rooms\, and six ballrooms. Several ballrooms divide into smaller rooms\, supporting a schedule that combines general sessions\, concurrent education\, meals\, and professional gatherings. The property also has an on-site Vegas Loop station with a connection to the Las Vegas Convention Center campus. For In2Risk\, the relevant feature is the ability to house lodging\, large sessions\, breakout education\, the conferment program\, and receptions within one connected resort and meeting facility. The mix of large ballrooms and divisible rooms is suited to an agenda that covers many insurance specialties at the same time.

SUMMARY:Designing Walkable Communities for a Resilient Future
DESCRIPTION:Las Vegas defined rapid urban expansion as the fastest-growing city in the United States from 1970 to 2025. Driven by a staggering 40.1% population surge between 2000 and 2010 alone\, our valley expanded outward\, creating an endless expanse of single-family suburban neighborhoods. This geometric\, heavily automobile-dependent footprint has led to a critical strategic question for our profession: Will Las Vegas remain livable in 2050\, and how can we successfully transition residents from their cars to the pavement? \nCurrently\, our valley lacks fundamental walkability. The pattern of rapid outward growth outpaced denser\, mixed-use development\, resulting in commercial areas that are entirely disconnected from residential neighborhoods. We navigate this reality daily—whether it is a punishing quarter-mile trek across the hot pavement of Commercial Center just to grab coffee\, or the dangerous\, auto-centric streetscapes of Spring Mountain Road. The creation of post World War Two suburbia created a seemingly idyllic home with a protected backyard and Weber Grill\, but with Suburbia also came its discontents of an increasingly isolated world \nSprawling on the fringes of the city\nIn geometric order\nAn insulated border\nIn-between the bright lights\nAnd the far unlit unknown \nGrowing up it all seems so one-sided\nOpinions all provided\nThe future pre-decided\nDetached and subdivided\nIn the mass production zone \nNowhere is the dreamer\nOr the misfit so alone \nSubdivisions \nNeil Pert\, Rush \nAs AIA\, Assoc. AIA\, and Allied members\, our mission is not to advocate for an idealized return to a pre-war era\, but to design forward. We must ask ourselves: What are the opportunities for impactful design within our existing growth patterns? Furthermore\, how can the design and construction industry leverage advocacy and education to shape strategic planning\, development priorities\, and zoning processes? \nJoin the Housing Committee for a panel discussion on how to build vibrant\, connected communities against the secular forces of sprawl. This session will empower our members with the analytical insights and strategic tools needed to elevate our communities and transform our built environment. \nEvent Details\nModerator: \n\nDavid Kim – Hatchwell Studios\nMonica Gresser – BRAZEN architecture\n\nPanelists: \n\nMiguel Davila-Uzcategui – City Planner & State Assemblyman-Elect\nMike Howe – Urban Planner\, City of Las Vegas\nShane Terry – Co-founder\, Ritual Development Group\n\n\nAIA Las Vegas is committed to inspiring and empowering members to elevate our communities. Join us as we explore how the power of design\, advocacy\, and education can reshape the future of the Las Vegas Valley.

SUMMARY:AMMG Clinical Applications For Age Management Medicine Conference
DESCRIPTION:The 41st Clinical Applications for Age Management Medicine Conference is scheduled for October 7–11 at M Resort Spa Casino in Henderson. The Age Management Medicine Group presents the five-day continuing medical education program for physicians and other healthcare professionals working in preventive\, age-management\, functional\, regenerative\, and longevity-focused practice. The organizer states that selected courses are designated for up to 18 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits. The event combines two days of optional workshops with a three-day general session\, an exhibit area\, and professional networking functions. \nSix pre-conference workshops address the clinical use of peptides\, practice management\, regenerative aesthetics\, advanced peptide strategies\, longevity and the microbiome\, and functional-medicine laboratory interpretation. The general session then covers applied genomics\, methods of assessing biological aging\, inflammation\, hair loss\, hormone management\, metabolic health\, fasting\, imaging\, artificial intelligence in clinical decision-making\, epigenetic clocks\, multimodal screening\, patient assessment\, and other topics within the organizer’s age-management curriculum. The published agenda includes more than 25 presentations and over 40 faculty members\, with exhibitors representing products and services used in these clinical practices. \nThe conference is professional medical education\, not a public wellness expo. Some sessions assume clinical training and address diagnosis\, laboratory data\, prescribing\, imaging\, and patient-management decisions. The program includes live demonstrations and certification-related coursework in addition to lecture sessions. Because age-management and longevity medicine include areas where evidence\, regulation\, and clinical practice continue to change\, the educational format places current research and clinical application together. Participants remain responsible for applying the material within their own licensing\, scope-of-practice\, and patient-care requirements. The exhibit component supports the clinical curriculum by placing vendors in a designated networking area rather than presenting the meeting primarily as a product marketplace. \nHistory in Las Vegas\nThe 2026 meeting is the 41st conference in AMMG’s Clinical Applications series. Official materials for the preceding 2025 edition place that conference in Salt Lake City\, while the 2026 site announces the program’s move to Las Vegas. The Las Vegas meeting is therefore a new host-city chapter within an established conference series\, not the first AMMG clinical conference. The available organizer record supports describing 2026 as the first Las Vegas edition in the recent sequence\, but it does not establish whether older editions may also have met in Southern Nevada. The conference numbering should be tied to the national series rather than interpreted as 41 consecutive Las Vegas meetings. \nLocation\nM Resort Spa Casino is at 12300 Las Vegas Boulevard South in Henderson\, south of the primary Strip resort corridor. The property reports approximately 92\,000 square feet of conference space\, including the M Pavilion\, Milan Ballroom\, reception areas\, and smaller meeting rooms. The pavilion is a column-free space used for exhibitions and large functions\, while the remaining rooms support workshops\, general sessions\, and breakouts. AMMG’s published agenda places the welcome reception\, networking\, and exhibits within the conference area\, allowing the educational and commercial portions of the event to remain on one resort campus. The location is also the official conference hotel\, and the organizer identifies an airport shuttle subject to advance reservation and operating conditions.

SUMMARY:CE Luncheon: Designing Safe\, Code-Compliant Residential Stairways with JD Stairs
DESCRIPTION:Navigating stairway building codes doesn’t have to be a roadblock. Join AIA Las Vegas & JD Stairs for a 90-minute course where we unpack a decade of IRC updates (2012-2021) and establish a clear\, critical path for compliant stair design. \nThis session goes beyond the classroom with an interactive shop tour\, giving AIA\, Assoc. AIA\, and Allied members a hands-on look at how these codes come to life in fabrication. \nCredits 1.5 HSW \nLunch & Tour Included \nCourse Description\nThe International Residential Building Code (IRC) is the most widely adopted model code for 1 and 2 family homes. Significant changes in the IRC over the years have widely affected the design of stairways. Building codes applicable to Stairways\, Handrails and Guards are a minimum standard of safety that can be easily exceeded providing an additional margin of safety for residential occupants and provide the aesthetic desired. Recent changes have clarified many issues previously subject to wide interpretation. Many of these changes have already been adopted by local jurisdictions or are being considered. An understanding of the intent and direction of the IRC model code and how it is applied to the design\, specification and construction of stairways will be provided. This course requires completion of the AIA evaluation to receive credit and certificate of completion \nLearning Objectives \n\nDistinguish between minimum safety standards and opportunities to exceed them using the IRC model code and essential concepts of safe stair design.\nApply and employ the recommended critical path for compliant stairway design to any existing project.\nIdentify the functions of a handrail\, design/specify appropriate profiles in compliance with the IRC model code and define the differences in handrails and guards critical to functional design of safe stairways.\nIdentify the significant changes occurring in the 2012\, 2015\, 2018 and 2021 IRC model codes affecting residential stairway design.

SUMMARY:ULC 2026 Annual Leadership Forum
DESCRIPTION:The 2026 Urban Libraries Council Annual Leadership Forum is scheduled for September 30–October 2 at AC Hotel Las Vegas Symphony Park. The Urban Libraries Council\, working with the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District as local host\, presents the event under the theme “In Demand: The People and Power of Public Libraries.” The forum is intended for leaders from large public-library systems\, including executives\, department heads\, communications and community-engagement staff\, program leaders\, and corporate partners that work with urban libraries. \nThe program addresses how libraries explain their public value\, maintain relevance\, strengthen staff alignment\, communicate with boards and funders\, and work with civic and community partners. Rather than organizing the agenda around a large exhibit floor\, ULC describes an interactive format based on strategy sessions\, peer exchange\, field examples\, and facilitated conversation. A pre-conference session examines strategic communications and community trust. The main forum continues with discussions about leadership\, organizational language\, staff confidence\, visibility\, and the relationship between library services and the communities that rely on them. The emphasis is on institutional management and public-service strategy rather than collections\, publishing\, or library technology alone. \nRegistration is available to ULC member-library staff\, nonmember library professionals\, and corporate partners\, with different rates for each group. This structure reflects the council’s membership model and keeps library practitioners at the center of the meeting. The local partnership with the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District adds direct context from a large regional system serving urban\, suburban\, and unincorporated communities. The host relationship also gives the national program a local operating perspective without turning the forum into a general Las Vegas library event. \nEvent background\nThe Annual Leadership Forum is part of ULC’s continuing program for public-library executives and institutional leaders. The organization’s 2026 materials identify Las Vegas as the forum site and the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District as host\, but do not publish a complete chronology of earlier Las Vegas editions. The event should therefore be described as the documented 2026 Las Vegas forum without claiming a return\, a debut\, or a recurring local schedule. Its role within ULC is consistent with an annual leadership meeting: the program focuses on management\, governance relationships\, public positioning\, and the internal capacity of library systems rather than on a single technical specialty. \nLocation\nAC Hotel Las Vegas Symphony Park is at 330 South Grand Central Parkway in the Symphony Park district near downtown Las Vegas. Marriott lists eight event rooms\, more than 18\,000 square feet of total event space\, six breakout rooms\, built-in audiovisual systems\, and meeting rooms located on the same level. Those features support a forum that alternates between common sessions and smaller working discussions. The hotel shares a building with Element Las Vegas Symphony Park and sits near The Smith Center\, World Market Center\, and the Expo at World Market Center. The setting is outside the main Strip resort corridor and closer to downtown civic and cultural institutions\, which is relevant to a conference centered on urban public-service leadership. It also keeps the three-day forum in a compact hotel meeting environment rather than a large exhibition campus.

SUMMARY:DisruptHR Las Vegas 4.0 2026
DESCRIPTION:DisruptHR Las Vegas 4.0 2026 is scheduled for September 24\, 2026\, from 2:30 to 5:00 p.m. at StarBase Las Vegas. Human Resources in Las Vegas HRLV is hosting the event for human resources practitioners\, business leaders\, workplace consultants\, recruiters\, technologists\, and others involved in managing people and organizations. The Meetup listing states that admission requires a ticket and notes a limited allocation of complimentary tickets for HRLV members. Attendees should use the event page for the current registration status and any eligibility requirements. \nDisruptHR uses a short-presentation format designed to cover workplace subjects in a compressed program. According to the national DisruptHR organization\, a typical event includes 14 speakers who each receive five minutes and 20 slides\, with the slides advancing automatically every 15 seconds. That structure limits each presentation to a specific point or argument rather than a conventional keynote or extended training session. Topics across the series generally address talent\, culture\, leadership\, recruiting\, employee experience\, workplace operations\, and the use of technology in human resources. \nThe Las Vegas event is expected to follow that established format\, although the final speaker roster and session subjects remain controlled by the organizer. The program is relevant to attendees who want a rapid overview of different perspectives on workplace practice. It also creates a setting for comparing ideas from employers\, service providers\, consultants\, and technology specialists. Because presentations are brief\, the event functions as an introduction to issues and viewpoints rather than as a comprehensive course or certification program. \nHuman Resources in Las Vegas HRLV operates the Meetup group publishing this event. The group describes its interests as professional networking\, recruiting and hiring\, social recruiting\, education\, personal development\, and related human resources subjects. For this edition\, the detailed event description identifies StarBase Las Vegas as the venue. The summary area of the Meetup page may still display an unassigned location\, so attendees should confirm the venue and arrival instructions in the organizer’s final event communications. \nHistory in Las Vegas\nDisruptHR Las Vegas is a recurring local edition of the broader DisruptHR event series. The national organization documented DisruptHR Las Vegas 3.0 on October 9\, 2025\, at The Beverly Theater and described it as the city’s third DisruptHR event. The 4.0 name identifies the September 2026 program as the next numbered Las Vegas edition. The wider DisruptHR movement began in Cincinnati in 2013 and later expanded through locally organized events using the same timed presentation structure. Local speakers\, hosts\, venues\, and program subjects can change between editions. \nLocation\nStarBase Las Vegas is located at 3905 W. Diablo Drive\, Las Vegas\, Nevada 89118\, west of the Las Vegas Strip and near the resort corridor. The venue is used for corporate\, public\, live\, virtual\, and hybrid events. Its published facility information describes built-in audiovisual\, lighting\, sound\, staging\, display\, and internet capabilities\, along with flexible seating and gathering areas. Those features are compatible with a program built around a sequence of timed presentations and attendee discussion. \nAttendees should rely on the organizer’s final instructions for doors\, check-in\, parking\, accessibility\, and any changes to the room assignment or venue. The listed 2:30 p.m. start and 5:00 p.m. end describe the published event window; they do not necessarily include organizer setup or private functions.

The association organizes the conference for plaintiff attorneys\, law firm employees\, judges and justices\, legal-services companies\, and CAALA law-student members. Registration is professional rather than general-public admission: the organizer identifies attorneys\, law firm staff\, jurists\, and eligible law students as the participating groups. CAALA describes the gathering as serving more than 4\,000 participants and offering up to 17 hours of Minimum Continuing Legal Education credit. \nEvent overview\nThe four-day schedule combines continuing legal education\, trial-skills instruction\, practice-area sessions\, legal-staff programming\, an exhibit hall\, association functions\, and social events. Published 2026 tracks address personal injury\, employment\, consumer protection\, sexual-abuse litigation\, traumatic brain injury\, damages\, liens\, artificial intelligence in legal practice\, case preparation\, and courtroom advocacy. Formats include panels\, demonstrations\, moderated discussions\, judicial perspectives\, and sessions developed specifically for legal-support professionals. The final program also includes an opening session and a closing master panel. \nThe Royal Ballroom exhibit hall is scheduled to operate Thursday afternoon\, throughout Friday\, and Saturday morning. Exhibitors include litigation-support firms\, medical and expert-service providers\, legal technology companies\, insurance and financial-service organizations\, and other businesses serving trial-law practices. The conference schedule places education\, exhibits\, and professional networking within the same registration framework\, although individual registration categories and guest access rules differ. The organizer’s published registration policy states that exhibit-hall guest passes are not available and that guests and children may not enter the exhibit area. \nCAALA’s program extends beyond classroom sessions. The official schedule includes a Thursday welcome reception\, a Saturday closing function\, and a Sunday farewell breakfast\, along with selected wellness and association activities. These functions support professional contact among attorneys\, judges\, staff members\, speakers\, exhibitors\, and association leadership. Registration fees vary by membership status\, years admitted to the bar\, employment category\, and registration date. Current sitting judges and justices have a separate fee category\, while law-student registration is limited to CAALA members. \nHistory in Las Vegas\nThe 2026 meeting is identified by CAALA as its 44th annual Las Vegas conference. Network.Vegas records document the 43rd annual convention at Wynn Las Vegas from August 28 through September 1\, 2025. The move to Fontainebleau in 2026 changes the host property while continuing the association’s Labor Day-period Las Vegas meeting. Available official materials establish the current edition number and the immediately preceding local event; they do not by themselves document every venue used across the full series. \nLocation\nFontainebleau Las Vegas is located at 2777 South Las Vegas Boulevard\, near the Las Vegas Convention Center area. Its conference facilities include the pillarless Royal Ballroom\, where CAALA schedules the exhibit hall\, along with Lazuli and Cobalt ballrooms and multiple groups of breakout rooms. The official CAALA program assigns sessions across Royal\, Lazuli\, Indigo\, and other named meeting spaces\, while receptions use Cobalt Ballroom and another on-property venue. Keeping education\, exhibits\, registration\, and most scheduled functions within the resort’s conference complex reduces off-site transfers during the multi-track program. Participants should use CAALA’s final agenda for room assignments and access rules. \nCAALA Vegas functions as the association’s main annual setting for legal education\, trial-practice discussion\, vendor contact\, professional networking\, and organizational activity.
