Association of Latino Professionals For America(ALPFA)
The Association of Latino Professionals For America (ALPFA) Las Vegas Chapter is part of a national organization established in 1972. ALPFA, initially founded as the Association of Hispanic Certified Public Accountants, was the first national Latino professional association in the United States. It was created to address the lack of opportunities and visibility for Latinos and Hispanics in their industry. The name changed to ALPFA in 2001 to reflect a broader inclusion of professionals. The organization focuses on connecting Latino leaders for impact, offering professional development workshops, career resources, scholarships, career fairs, networking events, and mentorship opportunities.
ALPFA has a wide membership base of over 92,000 professionals and student members across the country, including 160 active professional chapters and 45 student chapters. Typical members are professionals and students in finance, accounting, and related fields.
Significant programs include educational and training events for members and job opportunities through corporate partners. They host Regional Student Symposiums and a national convention annually, offering opportunities for learning, networking, and professional growth.
